Oliver noticed a door into a small hillock, and something hiding behind it. The something turned out to be a huge spider which they fought in the tunnel that descended straight down and down inside it's lair, where it was joined by a swarm of it's young.
The battle was tough, but eventually all the spiders were stamped/slashed/burned to death.
The found some well-preserved weapons and armor.
